Eric leads Stafford’s US transaction sourcing across secondary investment, co-investment, separate account, and primary fund commitments for its global timberland funds, and is also involved in investment due diligence and client relations.

Prior to joining Stafford, Eric served as portfolio manager for MetLife’s $15 billion general account agricultural and timberland mortgage portfolio, was a voting member of the investment committee, and led MetLife’s agricultural and timber market research team. Prior to his work with MetLife, Eric worked as a credit representative for the Farm Credit System.

Eric holds a master’s degree from the University of Georgia, is a CFA charterholder, and has served as an economist for a USAID-funded agricultural development program in Latin America.
